The association world is changing and culture and technology have a lot to do with it. Associations, however, are not without the power to regain their relevance and create a new environment that meets the needs and wants of its members. After all, professional societies and trade associations are the original social networking communities and have made significant contributions to the professional lives of its members for almost a century, and will continue to for many more years to come – if it changes and grows with its members.
